Subutai – 1/6 Scale Action Figure

(1176–1248, Mongol General of the Great Yuan Empire)

Historical Background

Subutai, born in 1176 in the Uriankhai tribe, was one of the most renowned generals of the Mongol Empire and one of the “Four Hounds” of Genghis Khan. Known for his strategic brilliance and unmatched bravery in battle, he played a crucial role in unifying the Mongol tribes and expanding the empire’s territory during the First and Second Western Campaigns.

His campaigns stretched from Korea in the east to Poland and Hungary in the west, from Siberia in the north to Kaifeng in the south — making him one of history’s most widely deployed commanders. He was honored posthumously with the title King of Henan and given the posthumous name Zhongding (Loyal and Steadfast).

Historical Appraisals

  • Genghis Khan: “Subutai has fought with blood and sweat for my house, and I praise him greatly.”

  • Wanyan Heda: “All men serve their lords, but your valor surpasses all generals. A heaven-born hero. Now that I’ve seen you, I can die in peace.”

  • Wang Yun: “Deep, resourceful, decisive in crisis, and fearless in battle.”

  • Ke Shaomin: “Among the Four Hounds — Jebe, Kublai, Jelme, and Subutai — only Subutai served three reigns, his descendants all rising to fame. His lineage’s glory defied time.”
