Inspired by the poetic line from Nalan Xingde — “If life were only as it was at first sight, why should the autumn wind bring sorrow to painted fans?” — this figure reconstructs a classical, melancholic atmosphere with delicate detail.
She wears flowing red garments that accentuate her graceful posture. A fine silk fan gently covers the drifting fireflies on her paper scroll, while her eyes lower, her thoughts clearly in turmoil. Just as she lifts her brush to write, emotion overwhelms her—words fail to form.
The figure features thermochromic paint, allowing the pearlescent tones on her qipao to shift with temperature. Vivid reds merge with deeper hues, echoing the emotional complexity within her heart.
